• Pleasant Bank Holiday weekend for most

  Met Office forecasters are expecting pleasant weather for many over the Bank Holiday weekend, with a good deal of dry weather and some sunshine at times.

• New move for Met Office Aberdeen

  A new Met Office forecasting centre for Aberdeen was officially opened today by Professor Muffy Calder, Chief Scientific Adviser for Scotland, continuing our proud relationship with the city.

• Pollen forecasts from the Met Office

  Following the cold weather in March and early April, the pollen season has now begun with tree pollen set to last until the middle of May.

• Experts gather for workshop on weather and climate forecasting

  This week the Met Office is hosting one of the largest scientific conferences in its history, with over 250 delegates from 28 different countries.
